PARTY Contemporary is an independent, self-funded, artist-run gallery founded in 2018 by Phanos Kyriacou and Natalie Yiaxi.

It was conceived while sensing the need to address the sustainability of the growing local art scene in Cyprus and it can be perceived as an activation pushing forth the idea of collecting contemporary art as a way of keeping the art community alive. Its founders act intuitively and in creating the gallery program, which aims to create connections between artists, collectors, philosophers, art theorists, collectors.

For its opening year, Party Contemporary features local artists  in duo shows, creating the conditions for intimate exchange and collaboration. Natalie and Phanos, also collaborate and develop ad-hoc projects between the duo shows (see Adhocracy Vol.1: Books and Tools).

This is a matter of Positioning.
Not only yourself, but others as well.
There are niches to be filled.
Potentials to be realized. Right livelihoods to be found. You are not building a new organization but shoring up an existing infrastructure. It's worth the effort, because it will provide union, community, and an ironclad alliance.
